Milpitas Home Addition
This home in Milpitas suffered from a cramped and poorly designed kitchen that was isolated from the living and dining areas. Our clients agreed that the best way to gain the necessary space would be to add on to the front of the house. This had the added advantage of increasing the size of the entry hall as well.
The first photo shows the addition completed, but awaiting landscaping. The second and third photos shows the original front elevation and original kitchen. In the fourth photo the new foundations and floor are in place. The final photos show three views of the new kitchen/family room, which centers around a large island. It opens on one side to the original living and dining rooms, creating a very spacious layout that also allows for multiple activity centers.
